Osasuna renews Braulio Vázquez and José Antonio Prieto ‘Cata’ until 2029

Club Atlético Osasuna has renewed the contracts of its sporting director, Braulio Vázquez, and its technical secretary for professional football, José Antonio Prieto ‘Cata’, until 2029. This means that both will extend their commitment to the club for three more seasons than was originally stipulated in their previous contracts. Tomorrow, at 5:30 p.m., a renewal ceremony will be held in the El Sadar press room, attended by the president, Luis Sabalza.

Braulio Vázquez became head of Osasuna's sporting department in May 2017, with the team recently relegated to the Second Division and with the aim of building a new sporting project. He brought José Antonio Prieto ‘Cata’ to the club, with whom he had worked at Real Valladolid, to be his right-hand man and head of the technical secretariat for professional football. After a first season in which Diego Martínez failed to get the team back into the First Division, a successful six-season cycle began with Jagoba Arrasate, followed by another remarkable campaign with Vicente Moreno, before the team's management was entrusted to Alessio Lisci. In the nine seasons in which Braulio Vázquez has led the club's sporting project, Osasuna has achieved promotion to the First Division, six comfortable seasons in the top flight, a runners-up spot in the Copa del Rey, qualification for the Conference League and another for the Spanish Super Cup.
